John "Sarge" Schultz passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife Corinne; daughter Stephanie and her family Jordan; mother Barbara; aunt Carol; aunt Maryanne; aunt Louise;  brother Tom and his family Lynn, Brittany and Josh; sister Vicki and her family Noel, Ashley and Nick; sister Cathe and her family Tony and Samantha; beloved neices, nephews, and cousins; wonderful neighborhood friends out on Ashby Road; and his extended Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) family. He is pre-deceased by his father, Jack, his sister Linda, and his aunt Rosemary.

John served his country / community as a member of the United States Air Force and as a Sargeant in the Florida Highway Patrol. He was born to protect and serve, and he dedicated his life to others.

John loved his ranch, the outdoors, and spending time in nature. He loved his cows, horses, cats, dogs, and the countless feathered, furry, and scaly pets he nurtured through the years (except spiders!). He loved to laugh and to tell or hear a good joke (even one at his own expense). Most of all, he loved his family.

In lieu of a service, flowers, or donation, please remember John through a funny story, a toast (if that is your thing), or just by giving a loved one an extra hug or other kindness today.
