John Jacob Monohan , age 52, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025. John was born on July 25, 1972, in Lexington, KY, to Dennis Monohan and Patricia Miller Monohan, both of Lawrenceburg.

John was a self-employed farm manager with a deep love for nature—especially rocks and flowers. A free spirit with a curious intellect, he was knowledgeable about many things and enjoyed farming and gardening. He was always there to cheer you up and was a good friend to all who knew him.

Along with his parents, John is survived by his sons, Ian Monohan and Stephen Penn, both of Lawrenceburg; his sister, Sarah Monohan Sharp of Williston, FL; an uncle, Sean Monohan; and a nephew, Coleman Boyle.

No public services are scheduled.
