John Allen McCarty, age 39, of Lawrenceburg, husband of Stacey Maze McCarty, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at University of Kentucky Hospital.  Born September 11, 1977 in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of John Anderson McCarty and Barbara Brown McCarty.  He enjoyed Fishing, woodworking and was an avid University of Louisville football fan.  Along with his parents and wife, John is survived by two children, Adaline and Jocee McCarty; a brother, Matthew McCarty (Crissy); a sister, Sharma Roman; a mother in law, Sandra Grooms; six nieces and nephews, Kevin Roman, Jessica Roman, Alexia McCarty, Brayden McCarty, Carrisa McCarty, Maraya Preston and one great nephew, Avery Roman.  Private services will be held for John.  He will be buried in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
