John Barjuca, 83, of Lawrenceburg passed away Wednesday evening, January 22, 2014, following a brief illness.

Visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg. Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Saturday at First Christian Church. Rev. Jim Wheeler and Rev. Mike McColl will officiate.

The son of George and Mary Barjuca he graduated from Lincoln High School and Geneva College with a degree in business. His family and friends will remember him as a great teacher, wonderful provider with a kind heart and gentle smile.

A consummate professional in his business life serving 18 years with NCR, promoted to Regional sales Manager and relocating to Lexington in 1971. He was very proud of his Romanian heritage and of his service in the Air Force serving as Staff Sargent in the Korean War.

While John will be deeply missed, we trust in God's perfect timing.

John is survived by his wife Betty Catlett Barjuca, daughter, Stacy Brynn Barjuca of Fort Worth, Texas, son, Jon Christian Barjuca of St. Petersburg, Florida, and son Jeffrey Barjuca of Lexington, two step-children Jane Ellen Presley (Don) of Pensicola, FL and Gordon C. Catlett (Deb) of Lawrenceburg, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by three sisters.
