Joe Van Boston, 90, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at his residence. Husband of the late Jesse Lillian Richards Boston, he was born August 6, 1924 in Anderson County son of the late Gip and Lillie Ray Robinson Boston.

Joe was a farmer, former security guard at Florida Tile, heavy equipment operator, milk hauler, and worked at Kroger. He was a member of Shiloh Christian Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved caring for animals.

Joe is survived by a nephew, Larry (Donna) Harris of Lawrenceburg; great nephews and niece, Eric (Teresa) Harris, Vicki (Rick) Allen, Shannon (Jennifer) Harris and Patrick Harris, all of Lawrenceburg; great-great nephew and nieces, Jonathan Overall, Zachary Overall and Tabitha (Joe) McCoun; and a great-great-great nephew, Jamie Overall.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm., Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Don Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 - 7 pm Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Eric Harris, Rick Allen, Zachary Overall, Jonathan Overall, Jeff Scott, Shannon Harris. Honorary bearers will be Larry Harris, Patrick Harris, Jim McKee, Bub Hyatt, Audrey Scott, Dorothy Morrow, Twyla Waldridge, Judy Blackburn, James Conley, Brian Pyle, Terry Briscoe, Wyle Perkins, Clayton McNew, Daniel Burke, Hershell Brown, and Wayne Brown.
