James "Jimmy" C. Curtsinger, 73, husband of Jackie Stratton Curtsinger, passed away on July 15, 2026, at his residence in Anderson County, Kentucky. Born August 17, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late Gilbert Curtsinger and Mattie Louise Masters Curtsinger.

Jimmy retired from the Anderson County Road Department after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Mount Freedom Baptist Church in Washington County. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and canning tomato juice and pickles. He was well known for cooking hog roasts for family and friends and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also cherished his special dog, Sofie, and enjoyed playing Rook with his friends.

Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a son, Jason Phillip Curtsinger, and his siblings, Alice Ward, George Curtsinger, and Shirley Whiteside.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, Jackie Stratton Curtsinger of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Jimmy is survived by two sons, Jeff (Stacey) Curtsinger and Christian Perry (Summer) Stratton, all of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Ashley Danielle (Ryan) McCoun, Trevor Curtsinger, Calvin Ray Stratton, and Evelyn Rose'Ann Stratton; and three siblings, Gilbert "Punkin" (Teresa) Curtsinger, Danny Lee (Kim) Curtsinger, and Jerry (Rhonda) Curtsinger.

In keeping with Jimmy's wishes, cremation was chosen, and no services are planned.
