Jewel Frances Hulette Toll, 98, passed away February 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was the widow of C.C. Toll, Jr. who died in 1986.  The daughter of the late Bain and Bertha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Moore Hulette, she was born June 24, 1923 in Franklin County on the farm where she lived all of her single life.

Jewel was a 1940 graduate of Bald Knob High School.  She worked as a secretary for the KY State Fire Marshall's Office and later retired as a federal government employee after working 20+ years for the Social Security Admiration.  She served as an elective officer for the Soil Conservation Office for many years and was a WW II veteran with the U.S. Navy Waves. She was a member of the Alton Baptist Church since June 14, 1952.  Jewel was well known in the Alton community and worked at the family owned Smith's Grocery from 1992–2010.  She loved the farm life and continued doing that well up into her 80's.  Some of her greatest enjoyments included playing Rook, bingo, bowling, and spending time with her many friends.  Her favorite past time was fishing.

Survivors include her four children, Pat (husband T.G.) Reed, Sandy (husband Clark) Gregory, Charles Vernon (wife Elizabeth) Toll, and Debbie Toll, all of Lawrenceburg; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Hulette of Frankfort.  Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Norrene (husband Cantrell) Quire, a brother, Raymond (wife Geneva) Hulette, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Hulette.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 23 ^rd beginning at 12:00 noon at Alton Baptist Church, 1321 Bypass North, Lawrenceburg, KY.  Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. and Pastor Gary Ellcessor will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery in Anderson County.  Visitation will be 4 - 8 pm Tuesday and 10 am – 12 pm Wednesday, all at the Alton Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Heath Martin, Charles Wallace Toll, Jeff Reed, McClain Reed, Chris Sea, Devan Reed, Mayson Toll, Ethan Sanders, and Ryan Martin.  The honorary bearers will be Jerry Sutherland, Jim Doss, Stanley Martin, Bobby Perry, Stanley Baxter, and Bill Brown.
