Jesse Brown, 68, of Waynesburg, KY, husband of 36 years to Evelyn "Patty" Brown, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford, KY. Born October 10, 1949, Jesse was the son of the late Wilbur W. and Josie Blair Brown.

Including his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Jason Brown; and three brothers, James "Jimmy" William Brown, Wilbur Junior Brown, Gary Wayne Brown.

A native of Lawrenceburg, Jesse served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of The Purple Heart. Following his service in the U.S. Marine Corps he served in the U.S. Army and retired following 26 years with the Army National Guard.

Jesse worked as a custodian at the Cooper Drive Veteran's Administration Hospital in Lexington. Jesse also work for the City of Lawrenceburg street department and served on the Lawrenceburg Fire Department.

Along with his wife, Jesse is survived by three children, Marcus (Ruby) Brown of Hammond, IN, Angela (Anthony) Bowman of Waynesburg, and Leslie (Tabitha) Berryman of Nicholasville; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

Visitation for Jesse will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Thursday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 beginning at 11:30 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Martin will conduct the service. Burial with military honors will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Bowman, Pedro Cabassa, Christy Wilcher, Jack Yeager, Amanda Winters, and Wade Owens.
