Jennie Lou Chilton Claunch, 79, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 in Lawrenceburg.  Jennie was born February 25, 1942 in Frankfort, KY to the late Huntley Hawkins "Jake" Chilton and Margaret Louise Springate Brumback.

Including her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by a son, William Huntley Caldwell;  a granddaughter, Tia Peavler;  and two brothers, Donald Hawkins Chilton and Benny Earl Chilton.

Jennie was a retired employee with the Kentucky State Government, and a member of the New Providence Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN.  Jennie was a passionate U.K. Basketball fan.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going to the casino.  She also was an avid Nascar Racing fan, and her favorite driver was #4 Kevin Harvick.  She also enjoyed her horse and her dog, Kassie.

Jennie is survived by her daughter, LouAnn Hyatt (Vernon Hyatt, Jr.); and a son, Vernon Caldwell, Jr. (Cynthia June), all of Lawrenceburg;  two grandchildren, Huntley Tyler Hyatt and William Grant Caldwell;  and a sister, Ann Bond Chilton of Lawrenceburg.

A Celebration of Jennie's life will be held at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 4 - 7 P.M, with her sister Ann speaking at 6:30 P.M.

Family and friends are requested to wear U.K. apparel in honor of Jennie.
