Obituary

“

he was a kind, strong, and loving man who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the time of day or night.

Jeffery Hopper, 61, husband of Donna Hopper, passed away on October 14, 2026, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on January 31, 1965, in Versailles, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles Hopper and Virginia Pearl Propes Hopper.

Jeff was a kind, strong, and loving man who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the time of day or night. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, and cooking, but above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, especially with his favorite music playing in the background. He had a special love for his dog, Cash, and enjoyed gardening and playing basketball with the kids. Jeff was known for making the best homemade ice cream and loved scrolling through TikTok in search of new music and recipes. Through TikTok, he even developed a newfound love for Post Malone. He took great pride in his man-cave, which became his own little home away from home. His family will fondly remember his familiar holler of “Build a fire!” whenever the temperature dipped to 79.9 degrees. Jeff's big heart, unique personality, and the countless memories he created with those he loved will forever be cherished by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his siblings, Frank “Buck,” Debbie, and Starr; a grandson, Frog; and his best friend, Mark.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna; his children, Jiffy and Amber; his daughter-in-law Kritty; grandchildren, Lexi, Landon, Boo, Navaeh, and Rascal; siblings, Joanie (Jr.), DeeDee (Doanie), Cathy (Walter), Elzie (Jeanette), Ezra (Cindy), Charlie (Donna), Mike (Kaye), Kandy, Robin (Ed); several nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Rick.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Rebecca Steverson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service. Cremation will take place following the service
