Donald Jeffrey "Jeff" McCormick, 55, husband of 18 years to Melinda Ruggles McCormick, passed away suddenly, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at U.K. Hospital. Born February 18, 1962 in Frankfort, KY, Jeff is the son of Don R. and Jo Dorris McCormick of Lawrenceburg.

Jeff and Melinda were married and attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Versailles. Jeff received his Degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. He currently served as a manager for Shadwell Farm in Lexington and previously was a contractor with the Dept. of Defense in Iraq and Kosovo. Jeff formerly served as a Captain with the Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife and co-owner of M&G Tactical Firearms.

Including his wife and parents, Jeff is also survived by his children, Kara (Zack) Couch of Pleasureville, Kristi (Kris) Wackowski of Frankfort, Katie (Derrick) Butler of Frankfort, Don (Whitney) McCormick, II of Finchville; his step-daughters, Emily Mager of Charlotte, NC, and Leah Mager of Bowling Green; and his five grandchildren, Brendon, Addison, Max, Barrett, and Karsyn.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 13 ^th at Ninevah Christian Church beginning at 11:00 AM. Mike Seidenfaden and Todd Lester will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Ninevah Christian Church from 3 – 8 PM Thursday and from 9 – 11 AM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Don McCormick, II, Jerry Wise, Todd Henson, Ed Ruggles, David Ruggles, Rob Miller, and David Whitehouse. Honorary bearers will be Jeff's grandchildren, Brendon, Addison, Max, Barrett, Karsyn and his sons-in-law, Zack, Kris, and Derrick.
