Janice Ray (Lance) Young, 77, wife of the late David H. Young, passed away suddenly Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. Born March 12, 1941 in Evansville, IN, Janice was the daughter of the late John Wayne Lance and Norma Jean (Byers) Hall.

Janice was a former employee of KY State Government, Dept. of Tourism. She loved her family and was a tremendous armature artist, who loved painting and drawing. She attended the First Christian Church and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Janice is survived by her two sons, Larry W. Young (wife Janet Lee-Young) and Michael E. Young, both of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Christopher Young, David "Lance" Young, and Anna "Christina" Young-Baker (Josh); a sister, Lois Watts of Harrodsburg; and two brothers, Gary Lance and Larry (Linda) Lance, both of Harrodsburg.

A Celebration of Life service for Janice will be held on Sunday, Sept. 2 ^nd beginning at 5:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Wheeler will officiate the service. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 3 – 5 PM Sunday. Cremation will follow the services.
