Jane Norman Funeral Broadcast Service

Jane Carol Champion Norman, age 78, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023.  Jane was born December 2, 1945 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late James Bruce "J.B." Champion and Grace James Champion.

Jane was a Jefferson County Public School Teacher with over 35 years of service.  She taught at Dupont Manual High School and Louisville Male High School.  She was passionate about genealogy and was a member of the Filson Club.  Jane enjoyed sewing and having lunch with friends.

Jane is survived by her daughter Sarah Norman of SanDiego, CA;  her blended family members, Vassili Katlov and Nataliya Kotlova;  nieces and nephews, Bruce Cole (Carolyn), Marsha Phillips (James McCarthy), Bill Cole (Pam), Gary Cole (and his late wife Lisa), Danny Cole (Teresa), Donald Cole (Rhonda), Barbara Cole and Mary Fields (Mike);  24 great nieces and nephews;  and 53 great-great nieces and nephews.

Including her parents, Jane was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Cole.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Brian Ebel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 Noon till time of service at 2 P.M.  Private burial will follow.

Honorary bearers will be Bruce Cole, Bill Cole, Gary Cole, Danny Cole and Donald Cole.
