Jane Ruth Boggess Darnell, 80, wife of the late Darrell Joseph Darnell, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at the home of her daughter.  Jane was born December 20, 1939 in Anderson County, KY to the late Charles Burt and Mildred Louise Lockhart Boggess.

Including her husband and parents, Jane was preceded in death by a son, Hubert Carey, Jr.;  and two brothers, Buddy and Johnny Boggess.

Jane was a member of the Ninevah Christian Church, and a retired secretary for the Kentucky State Government.

Jane is survived by her daughter Susan Sparrow and husband Jerry of Lawrenceburg;  two brothers, David Boggess and wife Donna of Lawrenceburg, Lewis Boggess and wife Maryellen of  Lexington;  five grandchildren, Coty Sparrow, Joshua Sparrow, both of Lawrenceburg, Brandon Sparrow, Louisville, Shane Carey, U.S. Marines, and Tara Carey of Florida;  and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service for Jane will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Todd Hill and Terry Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 - 8 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Coty Sparrow, Joshua Sparrow, Brandon Sparrow, David Lynn Boggess, Keegan Gay, James Glasgow and Raymond Hart.  Honorary bearers will be Mark Boggess and Jerry Sparrow.
