Funeral Service Broadcast for Jane Chisholm

Jane Marlene Poulter Chisholm, age 88, wife of the late Gilbert Lee Chisholm, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Signature Healthcare of Georgetown. Born on May 11, 1936, in Lawrenceburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Bruce Poulter and Marie Beckham Poulter.

Jane retired after 45 dedicated years as a line operator at Jim Beam Distillery. Jane was a member of Claylick United Methodist Church where she found joy in her faith and community. Jane had a variety of passions, including playing Uno, taking walks, and tending to her flowerbed. She loved quilting, shopping, and dining out, often sharing these moments with friends and family. Her cat, Cheerio, was a cherished companion, she greatly valued the time they spent together. Jane had a deep love for reading, bird watching, and feeding the birds that visited her home. Christmas was a special time for her, filled with warmth and joy. She will be remembered for her kindness, her love for life, and her dedication to the things that brought her happiness.

Including her husband and parents, Jane was preceded in death by her siblings, Bruce "Buddy" M. Poulter, Juanita Baxter, Margaret Ann Harper, Rayma Carter, and Laurene Gaunce.

Jane is survived by her son, Tony (Rose) Chisholm of Seattle, WA; grandson, Christian (Jenny) Chisholm; sisters-in-law, Nina Poulter and Azile Chisholm; and special nieces, Lee Ann Young and Sherri Brothers.

A funeral service to celebrate Jane's life will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Jeremy Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3250 Versailles Road, Frankfort, KY 40601. Visitation will be on Monday starting at 10:30 AM until the time of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Luke Brothers, Ben Brothers, Bruce Caldwell, Tim Chisholm, Todd Chisholm, and Jeffrey Young. Honorary bearers will be Tanya Smith and Janet Fischer.
