James Edward Wallace, 57, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 in Woodford County, KY from injuries received in an auto accident.  Born September 4, 1962 in East Chicago, Indiana, James was the son of Linda Haynes Wallace of Hammond, IN and the late James Kenneth Wallace.

A resident of Kentucky for the last 14 years, James served his country in the US Army, most recently worked in construction and previously for a defense contractor in Germany.  He attended the Sand Spring Baptist Church and volunteered for the Veterans Administration on Leestown Road in Lexington, KY.  James enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles, Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved his dog, Duke.

Including his mother, James is survived by his former wife, Janice Brown of Versailles; step-son, Dillon Burkhead of Versailles; two brothers, Jimmy Wallace and Tommy Wallace; a niece, two nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Evonne May Wallace, and three brothers, Doyle Richard Wallace, Ronnie Lee Wallace, and Kenneth Dale Wallace.

Cremation was chosen.  No public services are scheduled.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
