James Warren "Jim" Searcy, 78, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville, KY.  Born July 19, 1941 in Louisville, KY, Jim was the only child of his loving late parents, James Joseph Searcy and Dorothy Louise Warren Searcy.

Jim was a former chief accountant with the University of Louisville and previously an accountant for the State of Kentucky.  He was a member of the Christ Church Cathedral in Louisville where sang in the church choir.  Jim was a restaurant connoisseur, enjoyed traveling, and loved writing poetry.

Jim is survived by cousins, Bill and Judy Risdon of Hickory Corner, MI, Dan and Tecrissa Pender of Richland, MI, and Bobby and Lois Wilson of Jackson, MI, and close friends, Rick Cook, Brent Gorter and Perlita Roman, all of Louisville.

Services will be held Monday, January 6 ^th beginning at 11:00 AM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Rev. Jim Wheeler will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 10 – 11 AM.
