James Herman Ritchie, age 64, husband of Vicki Lynn Goldman Ritchie, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025.  James was born October 4, 1960 in Woodford County, Kentucky to the late Joseph Herman Ritchie and Juanita Brown Ritchie.

Including his parents, James was preceded in death by a step-son, Austin Nasby; and two sisters, Patsy Sue Peach and Ida B. Robinson.

James was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed being out in nature and fishing and had a great passion for old classic hotrods. He enjoyed the challenge of working on them and the pleasure of hearing them run.

Including his wife Vicki, James is survived by his sisters, Sheila Jo Freeman of Frankfort and Linda Richey of Lawrenceburg; his close friends, Ray Stewart, Johnny Phibbs, Justin Carey and Vernon Caldwell.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 5 – 7 P.M. at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home. The family would like to close the visitation with special memories of James being shared by family and friends.
