James Vernon Perry, age 83, son of the late Gilbert and Sadie Hume Perry passed away from this life on February 24, 2018 Born in Anderson County, he was a farmer for many years and retired after 40 years of service at Universal Fasteners in Lawrenceburg. He is a member of Corinth Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder for 40 years and Sunday School teacher for 10 years. Currently he was attending Fairview Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda Drury Perry, Children: Jerry Douglas (Lana) Perry, Judy Perry Overstreet and Kathy Lynn (Tom) Wade, all of Lawrenceburg. Step-children: Denise (Tody) Kirsch, Janie (John) Bayless, Bryan (Tina) Drury, Tina (Eddie) Hatchett, Lindsay (Kenneth) Drake, all of Lawrenceburg. Grandchildren: Shane (Michelle) Perry of Indianapolis Indiana, Jason (Lisa) Perry, Veronica (Nate) Bean, Jeremy (Ashley) Dickerson, all of Lawrenceburg, Ryan (Christa) Drury and Andrea (Mark) Hatcher both of Frankfort and special grandson Robbie Miller of Winchester, Whitney (Logan) Pickrell of Maysville, Kiersten (Mickey) Lutz, Erin (Jonny) Gaines, Dustin (Becca) Bayless and Lauren and Sydney Hatchett, Kinley, Ian, Isaac, Ryan and Riley Drake all of Lawrenceburg. 24 great grandchildren

Sisters Mary Ann Carlton of Lawrenceburg, Bettye (David) Hicks of Franklin, Indiana and sister-in-law Joyce Sutton Perry of Lawrenceburg, and the special Wendy Bunch lunch buddies.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 37 ½ years, Imogene Corn Perry and his brother Maurice Bruce (Butch) Perry.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 26th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home from 4 - 8 PM.

Services will be held at Ritchie Peach Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 27th beginning at 11:00 AM with Harold Temple officiating and assisted by Roy "Junie" Temple, Jr. followed by burial in the Corinth Christian Church Cemetery. Music Healing Has Come and God's Been Good will be performed by grandson Jeremy Dickerson. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons Shane Perry, Jason Perry, Jeremy Dickerson, Ryan Drury and great-grandson's Mathew and Timothy Perry and James Gulley. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Wade, Tody Kirsch, John Bayless, Brian Drury, Kenneth Drake and Eddie Hatchett.
