James Franklin "Jimmy" Whitehouse, 76, husband of the late Brenda Sue Thornberry Whitehouse, passed away July 14, 2024 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  Born in Boyle County, KY on February 14, 1948, Jimmy was the son of the late Roger Franklin Whitehouse and Nora Beulah Stephens Whitehouse.

Along with his wife and parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a brother, David H. Whitehouse.

Jimmy was a retired employee of Montaplast of North America in Frankfort and a former longtime employee of Universal Fasteners in Lawrenceburg.  A member of the Goshen Baptist Church, Jimmy enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Mercer County Sportsman's Club.

He is survived by his two children, Stacey Whitehouse of Lawrenceburg and Darrin (wife Lynn) Whitehouse of Shelbyville; four grandchildren, Brett Wellman, Jessica Wellman (Martin Dery), Casey and Lindsey Whitehouse; a great grandchild, Leighton Dery; and three siblings, Margaret Whitehouse, Bill Whitehouse, and Carolyn Whitehouse.

Visitation will be 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Thursday followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm Thursday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. Don Wells will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
