James Elwood Harrison, aged 79, graduated to his Heavenly Home on December 2,
2024, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

Born on May 27, 1945, in Sand Gap, Kentucky, a son of Shelton and Gracie Harrison.
He was married to his wife, Della Walters Harrison, on December 18, 1965, in Waneta,
Kentucky. They enjoyed a wonderful 58-year marriage centered around Jesus Christ.

Elwood had 2 children, Lora Ann Harrison (Tony) and Mark Shelton Harrison; 2
grandchildren, Harrison Mark Shane Evans (Katie) and Raylan Shayne Marynn Villier; 3
great-grandchildren, Truman Harrison Evans, Hattie Rae Evans, and Hollis James
Evans; his beloved Golden Retriever, Megan "Meggie" ("Night Meggie").

As a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he loved his
family with his whole heart, greatly enjoying each and every moment he had with them.
He enjoyed attending church, listening to preaching, reading the Bible, and praying
before meals and bed each night.

Elwood's life and legacy will be honored and remembered by all who knew him, as he
continues to inspire love and devotion in the hearts of his family. Della looks forward to
the day she is called home to be with Jesus and reunited with Elwood, and beloved
family and friends again.

Elwood lived by his father-in-law Rev. Ollie Walters' words, "You preach your funeral
while you're here." He is finally home with Jesus.
