James Earl Dennis, 86, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the V.A. Medical Center – Cooper Dr. in Lexington, KY. Born June 5, 1932 in Anderson County, KY, James Earl was the son of the late Pearl Blackburn Rogers and Earl Rogers.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Allen Dennis and a daughter, Annie Marie Logue.

James Earl was a retired maintenance employee of Wild Turkey Distillery following 27 years of service and attended the Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church. He served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

James Earl is survived by his children, James Ray (Renee) Dennis of Versailles, Johnny Scott (Gloria) Dennis of Lawrenceburg, Mary Elizabeth Yocum of Michigan, Joy Michelle Dennis (Mike Bostic) of Lawrenceburg, and Jennifer Ann (Ricky) Soard of Salvisa; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Dennis, Beth Dennis, Kayla Disponett, Ashley Logue, Josh Logue, Brandon Dennis, Nathaniel Dennis, Jacqueline Levi, Chris Soard, and Jeremy Soard; and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13 ^th from 9 – 11:30 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held following visitation on Tuesday beginning at 11:30 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Albert Peach officiating. Burial with military honors will follow the service at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
