James William "Bull/Jim" Durham, age 80, formerly of Anderson and Woodford County passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 in Punta Gorda, FL.  "Bull" was born August 14, 1942 in Arab, AL to the late Robert Wilburn Durham and Emma (Ausmer) Durham.

"Bull" served his country in the Army National Guard for over 23 years, was a member of the Corinth Christian Church, a Kentucky Colonel, and was a 32 year retired computer technician with IBM.  "Bull" was a volunteer for the Kentucky State Police Trooper Island program, a member of Landmark Masonic Lodge #41, the Buford Lodge, and was a former member of the Anderson County Masonic Lodge #90, where he was a 32nd  Degree Mason.  "Bull" was a former wrestler for over 12 years and went by the name Jess "The Best" Harper, and was also a #1 Bounty Hunter.

"Bull" is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Cinnamon) Durham, whom he married June 8, 1962; his devoted daughter, Anita Rachelle Lile and her husband Robbie of Woodford County; and his four adoring granddaughters, Zarabeth Lile, Zoe` Lile, Zaida Lile and Zandra Jai` Lile.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Ray Durham; and his siblings, Harvey Durham, Polly Eudy, Betty Howard, Lester Durham, Frank Durham, Ed Durham, and Ann Tollett.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Michael Hays officiating.  Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 - 7:30 P.M. with Masonic rites beginning at 7:30 and Saturday from 12 noon till time of service.

Honorary bearers will be John Conlee, Rick Devers, A.D. Long, Tiny, Butch Gains, Jim Fisher, Big Mark Kerns, and  "Heavenly Pallbearers", John "Bear" Coyle, John Conlee, Sr., Erroyl Cheatham, Tom Chapman and Charlie Beagle.
