Funeral Service Broadcast for James Drury

James William Drury, age 56, husband of Melissa Moore Drury, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Washington Co., KY. Born on June 11, 1968, in Bardstown, KY, he was the son of the late James Cletus Drury and Hazel Ann Coulter Peach.

James was a dedicated member of Ninevah Christian Church. He was known for his humility, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor. In his career, James served as a mentor to those working under his guidance. James had a deep love for the outdoors, especially in Somerset, where he found peace and joy. He was also a passionate sports fan, with a special fondness for UK and the Steelers. Above all, James cherished his family and was a loyal and supportive friend.

Including Melissa, his wife of 8 years, he is survived by three children, Angel Renee Drury (Derek), Mason Bain Eichhorn, and Ann Claire Eichhorn all of Lawrenceburg; three step-children, Samantha Perkins (Robert) of Frankfort, Tabitha Matusik (Mitch) of Cincinnati, OH, and Brandon Rutherford (Morgan) of Glasglow, KY; three siblings, Craig Drury (Debbie) of Lebanon, KY, Todd Drury (Lisa) of Lawrenceburg, and Crystal Collins of Frankfort; and five nieces and nephews, Craig Drury, Jr. (Bobbie Jo) and Brittany Drury of Lebanon, Brandon Drury (Jessie) and Destiny Drury (Chad) of Lawrenceburg, and Hunter Collins of Frankfort, KY.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Scott Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Drury, Craig Drury, Brandon Drury, Derek Murphy, Jesse Dykes, and Jacob Gibson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Daryl Burchett and Coy Speer.
