James Ray Dennis, age 66, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in Lexington.  James was born September 18, 1957 in Versailles, Kentucky to the late James Earl Dennis and Mildred Ann Goodlett Dennis.

Including his parents, James was preceded in death by his wives, Karen Jo Grubbs Dennis and Renee Williams Dennis; a brother, Ronnie Dennis; and a sister, Annie Logue.

James was a resident of Lawrenceburg. He was a lifelong employee with Wild Turkey Distillery and attended Sovereign Grace Church in Lawrenceburg.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.

James is survived by his son, Jamie Dennis of Lawrenceburg; his daughter, Beth Dennis of Versailles; his stepson, Sean Williams; grandchildren, Christopher Newby (Maddie), Jonathan Royalty, and C.J. Shanahan; a brother, Johnny Dennis (Gloria) of Salvisa; and two sisters, Joy Dennis, of Versailles and Jennifer Soard (Ricky) of Salvisa; and a close family friend, Mark Thompson.

Memorial service will be 6:00P.M. Monday, September 9, 2024 with Bro. Tracey Royalty officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 4:00 P.M. till time of service at 6:00 P.M. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at the Sand Spring Cemetery.
