James "Jimmy" Eugene Allen, 83, of Frankfort, husband of Rita Faye Allen, passed away September 6, 2022 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  Born in Corbin, KY on March 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Willie Allen and Ida Love Allen.

The former owner and operator of Allen's Heating & Air, he was a member of the Harvieland United Methodist Church in Franklin County.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and a collector of guns and knives.

Including Rita, his wife of 20 years, he is survived by his children, Lisa (Dale) Brown of Carlisle and Teresa (Archie) Lambert of Lawrenceburg; stepchildren, Myron (Amber) Baxter of Lawrenceburg, Gerald Baxter of Winchester, and Mary Elizabeth Baxter (David Sharp) of Frankfort; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angel LaChelle Baxter, and 16 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 11 -1 followed by the service beginning at 1:00 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, KY.  Bro. Glenn Corn will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, KY.
