Jacob Searcy Funeral Service Broadcast

Jacob Eugene Searcy, age 18, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Jacob was born on August 20, 2006 in Frankfort, KY to Collis Searcy and Rhonda Hopper Jones.

Jacob graduated in 2024 from Anderson County High School and was a member of the Van Buren Church of Christ. During his school years, he participated on the Anderson County Middle School archery team. Jacob had a special affection for his puppy, Ben, and enjoyed spending time with him. He was passionate about farm work and was committed to expanding his knowledge as a machinist and in 3-D engineering. His strong work ethic was demonstrated through his achievement of OSHA certification.

Jacob is survived by his father, Collis Searcy of Lawrenceburg; his mother, Rhonda Hopper Jones (husband Randy) of Lawrenceburg; his stepmother, Bonnie Pickens Searcy; siblings, Michael Hopper (wife Ericka) of Georgetown and Dana Nicole Searcy of Frankfort; maternal grandparents, Jeanette and Elzie Hopper of Salvisa; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Matt Ashby officiating. Burial will follow at Best Cemetery in Anderson County. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2024 and before the service on Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Stevens, Rickey Stevens, Forrest Stevens, Ronnie Stevens, Brent Stevens, Dan Shouse, Doug Searcy, Bill Hopper, and Johnny Hunt.
