Obituary

Jackie Rodger Walton, 75, husband of 18 years to Deborah Barnett Walton of Lawrenceburg, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Frankfort.  Jackie was born November 7, 1944 in Lexington, KY to the late Riley Clay Walton, Sr. and Christine Johnson Walton.

Including his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Walton; a step daughter, Heather Dyan McKinney; a sister, Cordelia Gail Hornsby;  and a brother, Milford Stephen Walton.

Jackie was a retired 29 year senior mechanic with Jim Beam Brands Distillery in Frankfort and a member of the Ninevah Christian Church.  Jackie played guitar, mandolin and fiddle and enjoyed singing and playing with family and friends.  He enjoyed carpentry, RC Airplanes, fishing, cards, and most of all his grandkids and family.

Including his wife Deborah, Jackie is survived by his son, Brian Scott Walton and wife Megan, Versailles;  step daughter, Leslie Shea Hardin and husband Lynn of Lawrenceburg;  a sister, Novara Carol Walton of Lexington; two brothers, Riley Clay Walton, Jr. and wife Marilyn Joplin, MO, Danny Arnold Walton and wife Gracelyn of Palos Hills, IL;  17 grandchildren;  24 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren;  brother and sister in laws, Diane Reynolds Walton, Kim Waldridge (Danny), Terry Barnett (Janice), Ricky Satterly (Marilyn), Eddie Satterly (Tina), Annette Vinson, and Truman Trent;  and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Cooper and Will Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be from 5 - 8 P.M., Tuesday and after 9 A.M. till time of service Wednesday.

Casket bearers will be Zachary Hardin, Lynn Hardin, Max Glass, Adam Hardin, Ricky Baker and Nick Satterly.

To abide by the regulations set forth by the State of Kentucky all persons attending a visitation or funeral (public or private) will be required to wear a face coverings and practice social distancing.  Fifty (50%) occupancy of the funeral home will be in practice.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation
