Jackie Allen Sutherland, 70, of Lawrenceburg passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at his residence. He is the husband of Carol Holt Sutherland, Lawrenceburg, and son of the late Everett Curtis and Ellen Davis Carlton Sutherland.
Jackie was born April 2, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH. He worked as a truck driver for Lawrenceburg Transfer and was a member of the Fox Creek Christian Church. Jackie enjoyed fishing in Okeechobee, FL, watching NASCAR, drag racing, and truck pulls.
Along with his wife, Jackie is survived by five children, Curtis Allen (Shelley) Sutherland, Vickie Ann (Tony) White, Tammy (Patrick) Massie, Jackie Lynn (Abby) Sutherland, Jennifer Sue (Carlton) Hatton; 9 grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry (Vickie) Sutherland. Including his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvette Michelle Beasley, and a brother, Norman Pete Curtis Sutherland.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, Sept. 30th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Don Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 Monday.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Lynn Sutherland, Jay Holt, Tyler Massie, Johnny Caldwell, Stevie Kincaid, and Rick Allen Garnett. Honorary bearers will be Mike Rakestraw, Eddie Hatchett, Chester Sutherland, Peggy Jo Perry, Raymond Bowman, Ricky Garnett, Kenny Smith, and Jake Buchanan.
