Jackie Gillis Catlett, age 88, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026 in Anderson County. Jackie was born April 25, 1938 in Glensboro, Kentucky to the late Sue Ellen Gillis Catlett and George Samuel "G.S." Catlett.

Jackie was a simple man and strove to live a simple life. He was a devoted Christian and was a lifelong member of Glensboro Christian Church. Jackie was a hard worker, farming his entire life, but occasionally taking a break to go fishing.

Jackie is survived by his son, David Catlett and his wife Deadra "DeDe" of Anderson County; three grandchildren, Heather Cavallaris and her husband Adrian, Natasha Combs and her husband A.J. and Geordan David Catlett; and three great grandchildren, Bailey, Kieran and Kyler Cavallaris.

No public services will be observed. Cremation was chosen.
