Herbert Charles Medley, age 66, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.  Herbert was born February 26, 1959 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late Herbert Maurice Medley and Jo Ann Freeman Medley.

Including his parents, Herbert was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Clark and a brother, Edward William Overstreet.

Herbert loved horses and was a former horse trainer for Mt. Joy Stables and several other horse farms over the years, and was a member of The American Saddle Horse Association. Herbert enjoyed fishing and being with his grandchildren.

Herbert is survived by his children, Justin Jones, Summer Grace, Robert Medley, Joanna Proctor and Austin Somerfeld, all of Lawrenceburg, Christie Lahr of Idaho and Felicity Somerfeld of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Patricia Sims of Newalla OK and Joyce Edwards of Lawrenceburg; a brother Johnathon Medley of Frankfort; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Robert Medley, Shane Sallee, Charles Grace, Donald Edwards, Jeremiah Edwards and Justin Jones.
