Harriet Ramona Thomas Young, 89, of Lawrenceburg passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was the wife of the late Furman Young.

Born April 9, 1925 in Santa Rosa, CA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Juanita Bell Thomas. She formerly worked as a seamstress.

Mrs. Young is survived by two daughters, Juanita Higgins of Fennville, MI, and Loretta Elwood of Lawrenceburg, KY; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Ernest Thomas of Oceanside, CA. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lou Edna Young, a sister and two brothers.

Cremation was chosen. Private services will be held. Mrs. Young's cremains will be buried beside her husband in Visalia Public Cemetery in Visalia, CA.
