Harold Lyon Darnaby, 66, husband of Linda Zumwalt Darnaby, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He had been bravely fighting Glioblastoma brain cancer for nearly three years. Born March 14, 1951 in Georgetown, KY, Harold was the son of the late Toby Darnaby and the late Billie Martin Darnaby.

A lifelong machinist, Harold was the owner of Applied Processes, LLC in Lawrenceburg. He was a member of Alton Christian Church. He loved antique and hot rod automobiles, family and especially his grandsons.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by two children, Steve (Carrie) Darnaby of Frankfort and Leigh Ann (Alan) Phillips of Lawrenceburg; his grandsons, Jared Disponett, Logan Phillips, Hunter Phillips and Jake Darnaby; siblings, Nancy (Jerry) Gadd of Florence, Tommy (Judy) Darnaby of Columbus, OH, and Peggy (Doodle) Cook of Stamping Ground; mother-in-law, Christine Zumwalt of Georgetown.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 7 ^th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. and Bro. Garrett Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Alton Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Pat Cammack, Carlos Cook, Chris Disponett, Charlie Gaines, Darrell Keith, and Bruce Willard.

Friends and family are encouraged to drive their antique cars or hot rods to the funeral service.
