Gwendolyn Hope Thompson Shackelford, 81, wife of  56 years to Russell Shackelford, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022.  Gwendolyn was born July 4, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Ray B. Thompson and Anna Christine Campbell Thompson.

Gwendolyn was a retired sales associate for Wal-mart working for over 21 years.

Including her husband Russell, Gwendolyn is survived by a daughter, Melissa Miller of Salvisa;  a grandson, Josh Miller;  sister, Carol Severs of West Branch, MI;  and a brother, Willard Thompson of West Branch, WI.

Including her parents, Gwendolyn was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Guerros;  and two brothers, Alex & Robert Thompson.

No services are scheduled.  Gwendolyn chose cremation.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
