Grinston Waldridge, 93, of Lawrenceburg passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his home. The husband of the late Mary Peach Waldridge, he was born July 20, 1921 in Anderson County, the son of the late Noah and Minnie Goodlett Waldridge.

Mr. Waldridge worked as a farmer and was a member of the Old Country Church in Mount Eden. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and singing in church.

He is survived by a son, Edward L. Waldridge and his wife Carol; three grandchildren, Leon Waldridge, Wanda Waldridge (Steve L.) Watts and Brent (Renee) Waldridge; 6 great grandchildren Valerie, Kelsey and Steven Watts, Shane and Joshua Wilcher, and Cody Dean; 7 great-great grandchildren; a brother Charles Waldridge of Mt. Eden; five sisters, Louise Jamison and Virginia Peach of Mt. Eden, Lillian Murphy and Ann Franklin of Finchville, and Margie Barnes of Shelbyville.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Waldridge, and two sisters, Mary Rodgers and Maggie Burgin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 23rd at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Peach and Sister Debbie Peach officiating. Burial will follow in Best Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Friday.

Pallbearers will be Charles Montgomery, Carl Barnett, Steve Watts, Steven Watts, Jimmy Watts, Tom Huff, Cody Dean, and Joshua Wilcher. Honorary bearers will be Arvil McClain and Daril Ulery.
