Gregory Dennis Breeding, 62, husband of Vanessa Hardy Breeding, passed away March 4, 2017.  Born August 21, 1954 in Somerset, KY, Greg is the son of Wanda Sparks Breeding of Lawrenceburg and the late Ralph Lenvil Breeding.

Greg had a love for music from an early age.  From high school band and singing in church youth group summer musicals, his passion for music became most evident in his love of the guitar and them for the banjo and bluegrass music.

He competed in old time banjo contests, formed several bluegrass bands with local musicians in the mid 70's, the first being Brushfire, and played in various groups for over 40 years, including a short time as a full time traveling musician.  He had an appreciation for all kinds of music and musicians, and was so proud to be a part of the professional music community and his association with other talented performers whom he could also call friends.

Along with his wife of 30 years and his mother, Greg is survived his son, John Hardy Breeding of Lawrenceburg, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a sister-in-law, Patricia (Lane) Stephenson of Augusta, and a brother-in-law, Billy Joe Hardy of Vanceburg.

Services for Greg will be held Thursday, March 9 ^th beginning at 11:00 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home led by Rev. Errol Archerson.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kelly Rose, Marty Carter, Keevin Carter, Martin Harley, Anthony Stratton, Paul Williams, and Buddy Flora.
