Gregory Allen "Greg" Boblitt, 55, husband of Autumn Robinson Boblitt, passed away June 5, 2026 at his home in Anderson County, KY.

Born in Versailles, KY on October 4, 1970, Greg is the son of Gerald Dewayne Boblitt of Chaplin and the late Barbara Jean Davis Boblitt.

Greg served Anderson County and the City of Lawrenceburg for many years in several capacities.  He began at the age of 16 as a volunteer with the Anderson County Fire Department.  Then served as an EMT and soon became a paramedic for the Anderson County Ambulance Service.  After deciding to become a police office, he began his career with the Lawrenceburg Police Dept. followed by a couple of years with the Anderson County Policer, before helping to merge it into the Anderson County Sheriff Office.  He served there as a Deputy for several years before retiring as a Sergeant.  He was also appointed and served on a U.S. Marshall Task Force.

He also started Turf Tamer Lawn Care Company and later bought Clean Cut Lawn Care after his retirement.

When his daughter Lauren became involved in playing softball at the age of seven, Greg started coaching her travel ball team, the Batcats.  He continued as an assistant coach during her high school years at Anderson County High School.

Including his father and Autumn, his wife of 26 years, Greg is survived by his daughter, Lauren Mackenzie Doyle and her husband Alex of Shelbyville; his granddaughter, Ella Jane Doyle; a brother, Gerald Lyn (Grace) Boblitt of Chaplin; and a sister, Angela (Pedro) Castillo of Harrodsburg; father and mother-in-law, Reggie and Peggy Robinson of Lawrenceburg; sister-in-law, Julia Atkins of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Sand Spring Baptist Church, 1616 Harrodsburg Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM and on Wednesday from 11 – 1 all at Sand Spring Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Palmer, Robbie Armstrong, Tony Likins, Jonathan Doyle, Loren Wells, Mike Lockett, Phillip Crane, and Jamie Wilson.  Honorary bearers will be BJ Crane, Sonny Chapman, David Sullivan, Jim Shelton, John Miller, and members of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
