Glenn M Jones, Sr., 87, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Lexington.  Born March 1, 1934 in Salvisa, KY, he was the youngest of six children born to Julia Belle Hockersmith and Charles D Jones.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gladys Satterly, Garnett Jones, Sammy Jones, and Julia "Dolly" Robinson.

He attended school in Anderson County and served in the US Army.  He worked for Pickerill and Craig, WT Sistrunk and Malone and Hyde before buying his own grocery stores in Louisa and Frankfort KY.   He was a loving father and always tried to live an honorable life.

Survivors include four children, Glenn Jones Jr., Micheal (Lisa) Jones, and Mark Jones, all of Lexington, KY and Chandra Jones of Frankfort, KY; three grandchildren, Siobian Jones (Gary Pitts) of Knoxville, TN, Austin (Breanna) Jones of Winchester, KY and Dakota Jones of Pensacola, FL; and one great-grandson, Haylon Jones of Winchester, KY, as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, June 21 ^st beginning at 10 AM until the time of service beginning at 12:00 noon Monday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg.  Dr. Jeff Eaton will officiate the service.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Salvisa, KY.
