Funeral Service Broadcast for Glenn "Pappy" Burgin

Glenn "Pappy" Evans Burgin, age 74, husband of Patsy Ann Harrod Burgin, passed away peacefully in his home at Lawrenceburg, KY surrounded by family on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He was born November 23, 1950 in Shelby County, KY to the late Charles Evan Burgin, Jr. and Aline Frances Mischler Burgin.

Glenn married his sweetheart, Patsy, 54 years ago; he always described it as love at first sight. He was a devout follower of God and served Glensboro Baptist Church for around 50 years as a deacon. He was described by his family as gracious, a jokester, and hardworking. Glenn served in the Frankfort National Guard for 6 years and worked for both the military and General Cable as a mechanic. His many interests included; fishing, hunting, being an "antique nut", a UK fan, a NASCAR fan, and a lottery ticket scratcher. Glenn and his brother, Mark, were co-owners of Broken Wheel Antiques and Collections. Above everything else he adored his daughter and granddaughter.

Including his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his brother, Mark Douglas Burgin.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Patsy; a daughter, Sarina Burgin Haney (Curtis); a brother Jeff Burgin; three sisters-in-law, Vickie Burgin, Karen Jeffries (Mike) and Cathy Lyons (James); a granddaughter he loved dearly, Hailey Bowman; three step-grandchildren, Matthew Haney, Heather Watkins, and Dalton Haney; four great grandchildren, Olivia Willard, Peyton Haney, Paisleigh Haney, Madelyn Haney; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, May 1, 2025, and 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2025 followed by service at 11:00 AM at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342. Pastor Leslie Bentley will be officiating.
