Glenda Hanks Bogie, 77, wife of David B. Bogie, passed away August 7, 2023 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Louisville, KY.  Born April 4, 1946 in Anderson County, KY, the daughter of Allan S. Hanks and Emma Jean Franklin Hanks.

A 1964 graduate of Anderson High School, she worked as a Pharmacy Assistant at the former Klink's Drug Store, and as an employee of Universal Fasteners, Florida Tile, and at the offices of Dr. McElwain and Dr. Hines.  Glenda was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church and served on the committee for Distinguished Young Women of Anderson County, American Legion Auxiliary and the March of Dimes.

Including David, her husband of 55 years, she is survived by her daughters, Deanna (Craig) Conaty of Wisconsin and Dawn Bogie (Travis Simmons) of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Virginia Conaty, Michael Conaty, Jack Conaty, and Brenden Simmons; a brother, Doug R. (Pat) Hanks of Lawrenceburg; and a nephew, Luke (Sarah) Hanks.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 4 – 7 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  A private graveside service with burial will be held at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
