Glen Allen Gritton, 72, passed on Friday, Sept. 17 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Glen was born on June 26, 1949 and happily lived much of his life as a Lawrenceburg resident. Glen was a graduate of Western High School in 1967 and Eastern Kentucky University in 1971. He retired from the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet and was a member of First Christian Church in Lawrenceburg where he served as Chairman of the Board, Diaconate, Christian Men's Fellowship, and on several boards. He is remembered as an avid farmer and loving father and grandfather.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arlie and Dorothy Scrogham Gritton, and his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Howser Gritton. Glen is survived by his companion, Loretta Martin; his son, Brian Gritton and his wife Kelly of Lexington; his daughter, Jennifer Miller and her husband Don of Lawrenceburg; as well as his grandchildren, Camden and Addie Miller, Sam and Gabe Gritton, and Zoe Avery; and his sister, Rita Culbertson and her husband John of Cadiz.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Sept. 23 ^rd at the First Christian Church with Rev. James Wheeler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Wednesday and after 12 noon Thursday at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Camden Miller, Sam Gritton, Gabe Gritton, Kevin Franck, Chris Bowman, Kevin Cox, Todd Sparrow, and Joel Snider.
