Gladys Lucille Taylor Beard, 97, of Lawrenceuburg passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Frankfort. She was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Elk City, OK to the late Benjamin Harn and Ida Mae Ide Taylor.

She worked as a bookkeeper, insurance clerk receptionist, and retired from Medical Personnel Pool in Palm Beach, FL. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg.

Survivors include three children, Kay Shelton of Laceyville, PA, Paul Beard of Valdosta, GA, and Richard L. (Joan) Beard of Lawrenceburg; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Gertrude E. Ford, Alice Bennett, Ester Girard, and Edith Fulkerson; and 3 brothers, Robert W., Ray B., and Clarence Taylor.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 18th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 – 1 Wednesday.
