Thelma Geraldine "Gerry" Smith Duncan Service Broadcast

Thelma Geraldine "Gerry" Smith Duncan, 89, wife of the late Lloyd Grant Duncan, passed away September 11, 2021 at Baptist Health Lexington.  She was born November 20, 1931 in Anderson County daughter of the late Stanley and Louise Smith.

A 1948 graduate of Kavanaugh High School, Gerry served as secretary for Hawkins Construction and formerly for Hoffman Distillery and Seagram's Distillery.  She was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church and the Wheels of Time Car Club.  Her many enjoyments included fishing, traveling, cross stitch and playing dress up with her granddaughters.  Gerry was best known for her good sense of humor and she was always the first to laugh.

Gerry is survived by her children, Jan Rogers and her husband Mike and Larry B. Duncan and his wife Julie, both of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Mollie (Cory) Quisenberry and Kyle M. (Paige) Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Lilly Kate and Hallie Wade; and a sister, June (Robert) Raymond of Lawrenceburg.  Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Guy Everett Smith.

Funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 17 ^th at 11:00 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Thursday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Crawford, Terry Young, Cory Quisenberry, Mike Rogers, Kyle Rogers, and Rick Hawkins.  Honorary bearers will be David and Jerry Duncan, and members of the Wheels of Time Car Club.
