Gerald Wayne Hoskins, 72, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016. Born January 5, 1944 in Anderson County, KY, Gerald is the son of Plumie Brothers Hoskins of Washington County and the late Clinton Hoskins.

Gerald retired following over 25 years of service with Lexmark in Lexington. He was a lifetime member of the Fairview Christian Church and enjoyed attending Bluegrass Festivals and working as a mechanic repairing lawn mowers and automobiles. Years ago he and his father-in-law operated the former Gulf Service Station in Western Anderson County.

Including his mother, he is survived by a special friend, Angie Hill of Nicholasville; three children, Nathan Wayne Hoskins and his wife Bobbi of Willisburg, Ray Hoskins and his wife Gail, and Sharon Chesser and her husband Troy, all of Lawrenceburg; nine grandchildren, Sara Lacey and her husband Mike, Magen Hoskins, Kaylee Chesser, Jenna Hoskins, Breanna and Makayla Chesser, Jerrod Durr, Alexa and Colton Hoskins; one great grandchild, Olivia Lacey; and a sister, Sandra Bowen and her husband Jimmy of Washington County.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, Feb. 4th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Anderson County. Visitation will be 5:30 – 9 PM Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Hoskins, Mark Drury, Ralph Terrell, Danny Darnell, Jimmy Bowen, and Travis Bowen. Honorary bearers will be Gerald's grandchildren and great grandchild.
