George Gilbert Cummins, Jr., age 64, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at his home. He is the husband of 39 years of Debra Kincaid Cummins. Born October 5, 1950 in Anderson County, he was the son of the late George Gilbert Cummins, Sr. and Frances Ann Foley Cummins.

George worked as the maintenance manager for Mill Ridge Farm in Lexington and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was member of the American Legion Post #34, where he and his family were instrumental in the development of The Healing Fields. A member of the Ninevah Christian Church, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two children, Angie Ward and George Cummins III and his wife Jennifer; 4 grandchildren, Amber (Tyler) Ashburn, Dylan Livingston, Kurt and Eli Cummins; 3 great grandchildren, Jackson and Mason Ashburn, and Brentley Livingston; a brother, Robert (Linda) Cummins, everyone of Lawrenceburg.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Claude Allen Cummins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, Aug. 12th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm Tuesday.
