George Hardin Cook, Sr. 90, husband of 57 years to Betty Lester Cook, passed away, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Frankfort, KY.  George was born April 27, 1931 in Louisville, KY to the late William Clifton Cook and Bertha Landers Cook.

Including his parents, George was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

George was retired from Bell South after 37 years of service.  He was a graduate of Portland Christian School in Louisville, KY, and a veteran of the Korean War, where he served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force.

Including his wife Betty, George is survived by his children, George Cook, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, Mylinda Schooling of Louisville, Julia Shields (Kristi) and Joyce L. Cook, all of Lawrenceburg;  six grandchildren, Jason Schooling, Eric Schooling, Jordan Wright (Chris), Joshua Shields, Jessie Cook and Jenna Cook; and three great grandchildren.

Graveside services for George will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery Pavilion.
