Garvice Stratton service broadcast

Randall Garvice Stratton, 81, husband of Lavon Ruble Stratton, passed away December 2, 2022 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center E.R.  Born in Anderson County, KY on January 3, 1941, he was the son of the late Cecil Stratton and Eva Robinson Stratton.

A 1960 graduate of Anderson High School, Garvice retired following 41 years in maintenance at Square D.  He was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church and the Challenger Sunday school class.  He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and University of Kentucky basketball.  He enjoyed mowing his yard, washing his car, playing his acoustic guitar, and horses.  Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Including Lavon, his wife of 59 years, he is survived by two sons, Monty (Jeannie) Stratton and Shane (Vanessa) Stratton; grandchildren, Audra (Lucas) Taylor, Tra (Sherry) Reed, Shawna (John) Myles, and Shelby Stratton; great grandchildren, Zach Reed, Jo Jo Smither, Emilia Myles, Kirra Taylor, and Hardin Taylor; and three brothers, Bronson (Marcus) Stratton, Donnie (Gale) Stratton, and Leon (Jean) Stratton.

Along with his parents, Garvice was preceded in death by his siblings, Edna McDowell, Robert Stratton, Goldie Kinder, Clinton Stratton, Coy Stratton, Roy Stratton, Walter Stratton, Joyce Stratton, Pauline Stratton, and Lucille Stratton.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm followed by the funeral service beginning at 12:30 PM Monday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Dr. Mike Hamrick and Bro. Ellery Milburn will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery.
