Garnett Ritchey, 74, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY. Born in Anderson County, KY on August 24, 1952, Garnett was the son of the late Frank Ritchey and Susan Mary Edington Ritchey.

A 1970 graduate of Anderson County High School, Garnett worked 37 years at Four Roses Distillery retiring as a dry house operator. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Anderson County. Garnett enjoyed horse racing, bowling, watching hummingbirds, and in his younger years playing softball.

Garnett is survived by his sons, Joshua Ritchey and his wife Cassandra, and Michael Ritchey, both of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Lucas, Jasper, Silas, Annora, and Indigo; his sister, Wilma Witten and her husband Homer of Lawrenceburg; and five nieces and nephews.

Including his parents, Garnett was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lee Ritchey.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2026 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Philip Ritchey will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Riley, Jason Witten, Jonathan Powell, Lucas Ritchey, Jasper Ritchey, and Phillip Akins.
