Garland Drury, 76, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 14, 1937 in Bloomfield, KY to the late Russell and Flora Lee Brothers Drury.

Garland was a retired employee of Seagram's Distillery and a farmer. A member of the Ninevah Christian Church, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, western books and watching Westerns.

Garland is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Joyce Maddox Drury; three children, Jackie Lynn (Wanda) Drury of Lawrenceburg, Judy Garland (Rev. Steve) Drury of Lexington, Rhonda Kay (Brian) Jones of Lawrenceburg; seven grandchildren, Joshua Drury, Jesse (Tabitha) Drury, Joseph Garland Drury, Stacy (David) Duke, Brian Drury, Logan and Katlyn Jones; a step grandchild, Jarrod Jones; two great grandchildren, Kyle David Drury and Tyler Owen Duke; two brothers, Donnie (Olene) Drury of Springfield, and Clifton Ray (Pat) Drury of Lawrenceburg. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gayle Peach and a brother J.R. Drury.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, Feb. 19th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Drury, Bro. George Dye and Bro. Terry Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Tuesday.

Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
