Freida Baker Funeral Service Broadcast

Freida Grace Wilder Baker, age 83, wife of the late Daniel Baker, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at her residence. Born on December 31, 1940, in Pineville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Wilder and Mattie Hensley Wilder.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Wilder.

Freida was a graduate of Bell County High School and spent her life caring for her family and home. She loved cooking, gardening, and found joy in the simple things. Reading was a passion she carried throughout her life, and she always found comfort in a good book. Above all, Freida cherished her family, and she took great pride in being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her kindness, warmth, and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.

Freida is survived by her children, Leslie Baker-Tanuis of Lawrenceburg, Michael Baker (wife Joan) of Malta, IL, and Dana Brothers (husband Dan) of Lawrenceburg; brother, William Wilder (wife Barbara) of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Andrew Massie, Clover Tanuis, Jessica Brothers, and Emma Brothers; and sister-in-law, June Wilder of Virginia Beach, VA.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 16, 2024 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
